Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative
 NRI is a program allowing Habitat affiliates to serve more families, by using our construction and volunteer knowledge to repair and revitalize existing homes. Houston Habitat has been chosen by Habitat International to help spearhead this program, and we began with our 2011 MLK National Day of Service project in the 5th Ward.
Neighborhood Stabilization Project
NSP is funded through the Federal Stimulus Package for the purpose of stabilizing communities that have suffered from foreclosures and abandonment. Through the purchase and redevelopment of foreclosed and abandoned homes and residential properties, Houston Habitat has been able to begin construction on 17 new homes in the 5th Ward.
