Houston Habitat for Humanity has been fortunate to receive the support of so many businesses, foundations, faith organizations and individuals, for the past 20 years.

Our sponsors have generously raised funds, volunteered their time and worked along side the families we serve to make a positive change in the future of our city.

We would like to thank the Houston Community for growing with us through the years. Together we are building homes, changing lives.

How to Become a Sponsor

Sponsors commit between $65,000 (5-day build) and $13,000 for a (1-day build) to construct a home.   Sponsors work along side qualified families who invest a minimum of 300 hours of their own work (sweat equity) to help build their own home, as well as their neighbors' homes.  These families earn the right to purchase the homes from Habitat through interest free mortgages.  Habitat earns no profit from these sales.  One of the primary benefits to sponsors is the opportunity to allow staff personnel to volunteer for project building. Most often, sponsors use these events as team building activities.  On occasion, a sponsor will ask that volunteers from the community step in to help complete the home they have underwritten. To learn more about how your company, civic group, church or other organization may become a sponsor, please contact Dave Daniels, Corporate Relations Manager (713) 671-9993 est. 214 or Mike Firenza, Faith-Based and Youth Advocacy Manager (713) 671-9993 ext 241.
