We have missed our customers and the ReStore team has been working hard to prepare the store for your return. You can be assured that the health and safety of staff and customers is our top priority. When you visit, you can plan to experience everything we have to offer including hardware, furniture and décor.

Here’s what you can expect when you visit one of our locations:

  • The store will accommodate up to 25 customers at a time.
  • Staff and shoppers are required to wear face coverings at all times.
  • Staff and Shoppers will sanitize hands prior to entry
  • We will observe social distanced queuing at store entrances, cash registers and shop counters.
  • Designated sanitation staff will constantly wipe down carts and be stationed throughout the store to continually monitor and wipe down high touch surface areas.
  • Plexiglass shields have been installed at all registers.
  • Purchases can be made by credit card only; no cash purchases at this time.
  • We are not able to accept returns or residential donations.
  • Loading assistance will be limited to no-contact situations.
  • All staff will have a temperature check upon arrival for work each day. Anyone showing signs of illness or with a fever of 100.4 or higher will be required to return home.

The ReStore has established these health and safety guidelines as set by the CDC and the State of Texas.

what is the restore?

The Houston Habitat ReStores are non-profit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, appliances, flooring, cabinetry and more at a fraction of the retail price. Profits generated from the ReStores support Houston Habitat’s mission of partnering with low-income Houston families to help them obtain and preserve decent, affordable housing.

When you purchase from or donate to the ReStore, you’re changing lives by making homeownership a reality for Houston families! And you’re also keeping perfectly usable items from needlessly going to waste in a landfill!
